Three Little Girls, All Grown Up | Lifestyle Family Session | Downtown Charleston
I have to admit that I got a little misty while editing these images (must have gotten something in my eye...) Some sessions just resonate with me. This one was a little bittersweet: memories of growing up with my own 2 sisters (I miss them like crazy) and a glimpse into the future of my own little girls, all grown up and finding their wings.

A Beautiful Evening at the Beach | Isle of Palms Lifestyle Maternity Photography
It's hard to believe that just two weeks ago, it was warm enough for a sundress and a barefoot walk on the beach!
This gorgeous couple is expecting a sweet little boy in December. I am so excited to be there the very day he is born for his Welcome to the World session to capture his "brand newness" with his parents. A few days later, I'll document his nursery, his family and him - all by his sweet newborn self - for his Lifestyle Newborn session.
Until then, his parents wait with great anticipation and lots of love!

And Baby Makes Three | In-home Lifestyle Newborn Session | Mount Pleasant Lifestyle Newborn Photographer
This family is truly amazing. They showed so much strength and courage through the worry and waiting of a high-risk pregnancy. Now their gorgeous, full-term newborn baby has arrived and she is just as beautiful, strong and courageous as her parents.
During their session, shot on-location at their Mount Pleasant home, we were able to capture authentic moments and details that were so unique to this family. From the nursery bedding that mom had sewn herself, to candid family moments on the very couch where she spent her days of bed rest, to heirloom blankets that once belonged to her grandmother. Their sweet dog was at her side during the entire process.
While we were waiting for her baby girl to settle to sleep, I had a long talk with mom about the memory books she is creating for her daughter about the entire journey of her pregnancy and her arrival into their family. These images will be a part of the finished baby book. I am so grateful to have helped tell their story in photographs.
It gives me goosebumps to think of her, many years from now, looking through this book with her children and grandchildren, telling her story from the very beginning.
